Our Thank You Anniversary Gift
You were key in reaching our ten-year anniversary. As a way of saying “thank you”, all of our fall 2021 events are free.
There’s no admission charge. No ticket is required. Go directly to the theater.
The Little Theatre and St. John Fisher College professors have partnered with us each year. We’re thankful to them also.
From 2012 to 2021
Our first program premiered in September 2012 with the movie Occupation Has No Future. As it’s developed, the occupation has continued these past ten years. Gaza is now blockaded; Palestinians in the West Bank live with Israeli military law; legal experts say Israel now has over 50 laws that disadvantage its own Palestinian citizens.
More work and learning are needed.
Film is a powerful medium. That’s why we chose it as a way to tell about the situation of Palestinians, which we recognize from our own learning path remains little-covered in the media that most of us consume. As part of every program, we included a panelist close to the movie’s topic, often a director or producer, to hear your comments and respond to your questions. In 2012, our first director/producer panelist was David Zlutnick.
About Covid Safety at the Festival
Everyone’s safety is our first concern. Given that covid cases are still prevalent in our community, we require proof of vaccination and ID. You must wear a mask except when seated and eating or drinking. The Little Theatre’s management have told us that all Little staff have been vaccinated.
St. John Fisher Collage required covid vaccination of the campus community returning this fall and masks are required. Masks must be worn for our program there on October 13.
